MC55i modules and growing. This popular module continues the enormous success of its predecessors, MC55 and MC56, by offering enhanced features plus seamless compatibility for easy forward migration. MC55i features a compact footprint, expanded worldwide functionality and a product roadmap that protects technology investments for past, current and future customers.

It is an ideal all-around module that can be integrated for a wide range of applications including metering, security, vending, POS, tracking and tracing, industrial PDAs and more. Quad-Band technology provides virtually worldwide coverage with download speeds up to 86kbps and upload speeds up to 43kbps. Other key improvements include an operating temperature range to -40°C for use in extreme environments. All Cinterion modules, including MC55i, offer Full Type Approval (FTA) certification as well as worldwide carrier approvals to help shorten the time to market for developers.
